With the small fishes like the Arahuana (that ships just weeks after it is born still with a nutrient bag attached to its body), it is a numbers game the more fish you can place in a standard size polystyrene box that has a fixed shipping cost the more money you’ll make i.e. its not the fish that is expensive it’s the shipment. Between 2% to 5% of Arahuanas die during the journey this is due to stress and lack of oxygen.
