In the town of San Rafael the remains of 14 possibly 15 gold miners from the river Nare that have been massacred by the Army in 1988 are being examined and described by Forensic anthropologist Eduardo Ospina Perez, in presence of the victims families. In total four metal boxes containing the remains of 14 possibly 15 bodies were exhumed, many showing injuries caused by machetes and chain saws.
