In September 2008 the extrajudicial killing of 11 young innocent men from Soacha (a slum near Bogotá) by soldiers of the Colombian Army that presented them as guerrillias killed in combat shocked the nation. Here a protest march to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the killings in Colombia’s capital Bogotá. In a July speech, outgoing attorney General Mario Iguaran said that around 1000 cases of “False Positives” a euphemism for extrajudicial killings were being investigated.
